Dr. Fred F. Zhang, M.D.

heartland-pathology-wichita-ks-fredDr. Fred Zhang is a well rounded Pathologist with a strong interest in breast pathology, GI pathology, prostate pathology, soft tissue pathology, immunohistochemistry, molecular pathology and cytopathology.

He serves as a clinical assistant professor at the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine in Wichita. Dr. Zhang acquired extensive experience in protein chemistry, immunohistochemistry, and molecular biology during his research activities.  He has also published numerous medical research papers in highly ranked peer-reviewed journals.

He completed an Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at New York University and a Cytopathology fellowship at the University of Kentucky.  Following his pathology training, he served as a faculty member and Director of Cytology Services at the University of Florida at Jacksonville before joining Heartland Pathology, P.A in 2008.
